Jackie, thanks for your wonderful work on this.  I don’t see anything in the WHAT, however, about our call for a return to support of the Nuclear Weapons Non-Proliferation Treaty, for honoring the 13 practical steps toward nuclear weapons abolition agreed on by 187 UN members including the U.S. in 2000, and for leadership in the negotiation of a treaty abolishing nuclear weapons.  
 
Also, relative to that, I would like to see mention of “ groups will be calling for support of H.R. 373, the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Commitment Act introduced by Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey (D California) and for H Con Res 950 calling for U.S. leadership in the negotiation of a treaty eliminating nuclear weapons  and introduced by Representative Dennis Kucinich, (D Ohio.)

Dear all -- Attached in Word is my draft media advisory for Aug. 5 - 9.  I'm sorry it took me an extra half day, but it was a real challenge.  As you'll see, I've incorporated a brief description of "why" into the "what" section at the top, and am proposing to eliminate the "why" section.  This is partly for length and partly political.  To try and explain each of the issues and connections, quickly starts to turn into an essay.  I think the quotes will fulfill the same purpose.  Speaking of quotes, as you'll see we don't have most of them yet.  PLEASE REVIEW  THE ADVISORY AND SEND YOUR COMMENTS TO ME BY MID-DAY MONDAY.  PLEASE CHECK THE LIST OF PEOPLE WHO SAID THEY'D SUBMIT QUOTES AT THE END, AND IF YOU'RE ON IT, PLEASE SEND ME A QUOTE!  Our plan is to finalize this on Tuesday and send it out on Wednesday.  [Note that I've indicated a few questions and comments in square brackets, like this]  Obviously the formatting will need to be worked out.
